I am a retired science professor & researcher, and a life-long photography and nature enthusiast. Recently relocated from Vermont to the Sonoma Wine Country of Northern California, I bring my passion for capturing beautiful images of the amazing world we live in. I strive to combine an artist’s eye for color and composition with a scientist’s eye for detail and structure. From the tiniest creatures to the broadest landscapes, people in environments both natural and artificial, my priority is always to create images that evoke an emotional response. And the emotions that I seek are comfort, wonder, and awe.
